Modelmartin Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Those detail shots would have been a dead giveaway that it was a model. The hardware is out of scale and the wirewheels are a bit crude. The patination is perfect and the overall look is excellent.
MikeMc Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Mike-O, ya need some a my Mojo???? you can, you know. have some..... jus sayin..... Yeh I guess so.....BUT LOOK AT THOSE PICTURES!!!!
MikeMc Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Those detail shots would have been a dead giveaway that it was a model. The hardware is out of scale and the wirewheels are a bit crude. The patination is perfect and the overall look is excellent. Totally correct. The giveaway to me was the tires seemed awfully round. No flat-spots or signs of distress after sitting neglected for that long? No sign of weight ballooning the bottom of the tire out at all. Yet, since they showed weathering those would have been the tires it sat on all that time. Just didn't look right. Totally correct also But this is exactly why I love this game.....what is the builders name..????
Harry P. Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 .....what is the builders name..???? Can't tell you, because I may use more of his work in the future. And after looking at the photos again, I'd say the model is bigger than 1/8. Maybe 1/6 or so???
