Here's my second project of the year painted with just what you see in the pic. I looooove Tamiya spray paint. It dries smooth as silk in 15 mins and I have never messed up a paint job using it. Getting too expensive for my shrinking budget though.

Trying to decide whether to go with the traditional black and white muscle car interior or with a shade of tan. Was tan even a choice in 71?

Gus, I like what you are doing. Tamiya paint is very expensive, why not try Duplicolor? Get more in a can and more colors and lower price. As for

the interior on the GTX, it would look good in White/Black or black with orange seat inserts(only available in 1971) Plain black interior is

too bland, just my two cents. Black/white. Black dash/console,package tray/carpet and inserts below the dash on the sides. White headliner/seats/

and door panels. You've got a good thing going, keep it up.

looks great, heres a little tip on the side view mirrors, when I use them on my builds, I attach them with white glue, because you can wash it off with water.

You know Donnie, I thought about white glue but it takes so long to set up that I pictured myself holding a mirror in place without moving for 15 - 20 mins and changed my mind. I used super glue because it dries quick but the mirror slipped and slid down the door leaving a glue smudge. It doesn't really show in the pics though.

Looks very cool! My favorite car was my '71 RR. I built a copy of it in scale and now I miss it even more...

Love the paint on yours. I enjoyed watching this build!:D

Yours has the sinister look to it and if I build another one it will have the body colored bumpers.

Looks real nice Gerald! It looks good in that color. On your mirrors, drill a hole in the base and insert a wire or a piece of small styrene rod, then drill a corresponding hole in your door. Makes placing/gluing them super easy.

I'm gonna try that the next time.

Looks good but you should have the air Grabber scoop popped up!

Well philo, i really don't care for the air grabber scoop and would prefer the other style hood. The air grabber always looked like some home built gadget and spoils the smoothness of the car to my eyes. Same reason I didn't go for the blackout taillight treatment. It always looked to me like the rear end was sooted up from a flooding engine.
