I have not picked a color yet but am thinking of a silvery metallic or metallic gray.

I am not a master modeler and just started back modeling 2 weeks ago. after many years.

i have 4 cars in the works stock "T" roadster PU and Coupe hot rod AMT re pop 3-1 kit

and Revell 50 Ford F-1 PU red fenders and pearl white body/bed

I have to relearn every thing again.

I wanted to use the engine from the 50 F1 and still might if i can.

clearance the steering box and hook up the headers (Hooker Headers?) ha ha.

I like that clear plastic tray idea, mind if I steal it??

Nah go ahead its a lid for a file box they come in flat pack one must fold

and put the tabs in slots i think i got them at Office Depot.

it beats working out of kit box as one can see what is what

the bigger bottom will hold most every thing.

Ps I decided to go ahead and use the Ardun engine. (Ardun converts flat head to over head valve.

It also greatly improves the flat heads cooling property's.)

clearance the inner fenders. clearance the back of the trans and frame cross-member.

schooched the engine back a small bit.front mounts still used but back a few (2?) inches

going too build a new exhaust sys kit comes with steel tips i will for sure use them

out from in front of rear wheels and i will keep the Smitty's.

Man nothin sounds like a pair of packs backing down. Pop Crackle Pop Pop Crackle.

This is looking really good Mike. Very clean build and I think it's going to be winner. But I'm curious..... it looks like you've lowered the suspension, but are using the stock wheels and tires..... an unusual combination? Or is it a camera illusion?

No it's what the Kit came with as custom wheels and tire's.. for dog dish hub caps.not shown as am keeping chrome parts in bag.

(and white wall decals. i am not going to use.)

We use to turn whites to the in side any way, we thought it looked race car like. saved on cleaning too.

I would rather have chrome rings and caps. and baby moon's or chrome reverse with baby moon's.

But; Wish in one hand and spit in the other 'see witch gets full faster'

I only own 5 kits 25 stock "T" roadster pu,25 "T" hot rod,50 F1 Pu and this 37/8 ford pu. and a "Extremeliner" kit on the way.

I did look at some wheels at my local hobby shop (Colpar Hobbies West, but none grabbed my eye)

so not many choices for wheel combo's For Me.

The 50 Ford came with some low profile wider(┐Dubs?) wheels and tires I could mock up.

but this is a po' boy hot rod and that torque tube and banjo rear end can only take so much.

it's better that the tires slip/spin than the axle brake. it's a one legger any way.

The transverse spring suspension not Radial friendly any way. thats my story and i be sticking to it.

A update to my WIP. i think i like the gray primer best for this build.

lots of touch up to do but i glued the fender/bed assembly onto the frame.

and fitted the radiator and upper hoses. and the new battery tray need to add a strap there.

the interior is done as is the glass. it is getting there..
