GrandpaMcGurk Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 My daily driver is a pick-up truck............are the cars pictured in this thread supposed to be a modern replacement for my spare tire?
Greg Myers Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Shelby's got his hand in everything, I guess he just ran out of things to do to the Mustang.

Junkman Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 Yeah but... Which car shall I buy for my other foot?
Modelmartin Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 SmartCars were made for crowded and narrow streets in European cities. They were not meant to be high mileage specials. They were meant to be space saving and easy to find a parking space for. I know all you guys with extended cab 4X4 diesels who live in the 'burbs don't understand the need, but some folks like them and find them useful. I kind of like them but would rather have a Mini.

Correct. A Mini (the old one) is only marginally longer, needs less petrol, and seats four. Where, one asks, is the progress?

Joe Handley Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Correct. A Mini (the old one) is only marginally longer, needs less petrol, and seats four. Where, one asks, is the progress? Well, we have a dozen airbags, traction control, ABS, Stability Control, Tire Pressure Sensors, and nearly every luxury option you could want, isn't that progress
