Here are a couple of photos of my Revell Snap Pete 359. I called the photo with the cab & hood a "mock-up" because it will be a pearl white with red, gold & purple Winslow stripes. I'll paint it if it ever warms up & quits raining!

The 1/4 Fenders are "chromed" with BMF. Won't do that again!

Not anything like rottin1's, but it's mine!

Thanks for the encouragement! I appreciate it. I think the engine came out quite nice, too. Just followed Ken Smith's article. Wasn't too tough once I figured out what he was talking about.

Hopefully the next photos I post of this truck will be the completed model, Winslow stripes & all! Any words of wisdom for working with Jbot decals?

Looking good Jim! I agree with the other guys. The engine detail is great. Can't wait to see the paint and decals on it. Let me know how those decals work, because I was going to order from JBot myself, but havevn't done so yet. I was hopeing to find someone who has used them to give me an idea of how they are as well. Keep up the good work!!

Regarding JBOT decals, especially the larger stripes, I suggest buying some Microscale Decal Film and coat the decals with the film prior to applying to the cab. This will 'thicken' the decals just a bit so that you have a little more time to work with them and get them into position without cracking or breaking. JBOT's decals are finely printing and don't take kindly to a lot of repositioning.

Tim,

Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a try. Do you put the Microscale Decal Film on before or after you respray them with the clear acrylic he suggest you do?

I'm glad you said that Tim. I picked up some JBOT wonslow stripes on eBay about a month ago that I thought would look good on this kit. I will keep your note in mind.
