Modelmartin Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 This was my first NNL East(only 1100 miles from home!) and I hope to make it to more of them. I have been going to NNLs and contests for over 25 years now and I have to say that I thought it was one of the best organized and run shows I have seen. 8) I was very impressed and had a great time. I hope next year I can creep out from behind my vendor table for longer periods of time. My thanks go out to all the Tri-State guys! You were great!
MrObsessive Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 It was great meeting you at the show Andy! Glad you had a good time! Keep us posted about that Firebird III!
Billy Kingsley Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Great to meet you Andy...Sorry I didn't have a chance to get back and get one of those dune buggys...I guess I will have to order one when I order the Firebird III...
Randy Kern Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Andy, it was also cool to meet you, too! I had a blast building your Ornery Otto altered. Your resin kits are top-notch quality. You really made quite a chapter in history at that first NNL in the garage! Hope to see you at another show, I might try another one of your kits.
Barbo Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hi...Andy Martin.....we met wt the NNL EAST , don't forget about my model kit FIREBIRD III , as you told me it would be out in a few months. I have a futuristc diorama that is still in the workshop for a long time. but the model FIREBIRD III will be the piece that will inspire me to a total finish.........Barbo.
Guest zebm1 Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hey Andy, Old race car Guru extrordinaire  ....got any ideas on how I can get my grubby hands on a set of plans for a 1964 Cooper Monoco Chassis/frame?......  Zeb
Jason Rothgeb Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hello Andy, I just wanted to take this opportunity to say that it was a pleasure meeting you. For reference, I was the guy whose brother is in the same model club in MN. One of the great things about the NNL East is that it brings together from all over the country. I have met modelers from Canada, California, Ohio, etc all of whom share the passion for building cars in scale. I met and caught up with so many modelers that the show was "out of balance" for me in that I spent only about an hour actually looking at the models which meant I saw maybe 25% of them. Not to worry though, that's where the numerous fotki albums pick up the slack. Take care and hope to see you next year, Jason
Modelmartin Posted March 29, 2007 Author Posted March 29, 2007 Thanks guys! It was fun seeing all of you. Bill - I love that Chrysler Turbine car. It's great to see a kit as old and neglected as that one getting the Geary treatment. Very cool! Randy - Great job on the Otto. I did get in to the NNL room finally and checked it out! Very Nice! Barbo, Billy and Bill, the Firebird should be ready in a week or two. I will post in the resin section when it is ready. Zeb! :? I have no idea!
