rickd13 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Does anyone have any tips on how to do the fender vents on a '71 'Cuda. I tried chrome silver Model Master enamel paint around the vents and ruined the paint job twice already. I tried foil, but the area is too deep and small and had no success. Should I try an acrylic silver paint and an acrlic black wash after I get the silver outline around the vents? I'd appreciate any advice or if anyone knows of any picture tutorials.
diymirage Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 i use the foil/wash method as mentioned above but a second opion might be a silver sharpy and then paint the inside black ? (or maybe apply the black first and then hit the trim with the silver sharpy)
Naydrus Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 Me, I just paint them. I have small enough brushes and a steady hand to paint it. I know what your talkin about though, because I have that exact project going as well.
