DanR Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I just completed the AMT '37 Chevy Early Modified, which makes a nice companion piece to the Ford Modified I had done some time back. Here are both photographed together. When I built the Ford, I didn't recall many build problems, but as I stated on a different forum, the Chevy had issues, particularly with the assembly of the rear axle (don't use the locator pins, sand them off and line it up visually) and also with the inner shelf unit (if it can be called that) - it extends out too far and pushes on the frame behind the driver. I still need to resolve an issue with the a-pillars not reaching the firewall. The Chevy was airbrushed with Testors Burnt Sienna acrylic. The engine is Pacific Blue. A fun build in spite of the problems I had.
ra7c7er Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Really cool. I have been wanting to get a few of those cars and yours just make me want them even more.
DanR Posted April 4, 2011 Author Posted April 4, 2011 They're fun kits and they build up nicely right out of the box. I still have several to build and look forward to each one!
