Harry P. Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Remember, don't post any hints or answers here. PM me with year, make and model. The answer: 1957 (or maybe '58) Tatra 603-1
SuperStockAndy Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 What in the.....? How...? What is...? Is that thing a Triclops?? And Matt, I don't think even a mother could love that face!!
pepperdrumstix Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I know what it is but I don't know the year or model.
Modelmartin Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I actually have a sales brochure for one. Hint: It's not in English!!
mikemodeler Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I actually have a sales brochure for one. Hint: It's not in English!! But when it is translated into English, does it say "UGLY" ? I have no clue but I can spot ugly without my glasses on!
kingiguana Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Straight from the depths of hell, comes the thing we all fear,......If You see one move this year, You must see,....."THE THING WITH 3 EYES ! "! *Insert evil laugh and blood curdling scream here.
Jon Cole Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 It will soon appear in the new Batman movie "BATMAN- The Geek Years".
Harry P. Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 Maybe it's just me... But this seems like the car these guys would have driven...
Mooneyzs Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 A face only a mother could love!?!? I haven't a clue what this thing is
Harry P. Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 The car in the picture is either a 1957 or 1958 Tatra 603-1. It depends on which website you want to believe. But either way, it's definitely a Series 1 car... the Series 2 had more "normal" quad headlights. Only the Series 1 cars (1957-62) had the weird 3-headlights-in-the-middle setup. Badluck 13 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I always liked these. If the styling wasn't like anything else on the road, the mechanical specifications may even out-strange the looks. If there was a kit of this one, I'd buy more than one. Which would likely be the only ones ever sold... Mark,I totally agree with you,I have alway liked these Lil' Doobers too.....but then again this is someone who owned "Dubbies" and now owns a Corvair....something to be said about those "Air Suckers"
Harry P. Posted April 8, 2011 Author Posted April 8, 2011 A RACE CAR version??? Sure, why not? People in Europe like to go fast, too!
W-409 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Sure, why not? People in Europe like to go fast, too! Of course we like! That Tatra would be very interesting to get in 1:25 scale... I have never seen even resin kits of it...
