crazyjim Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I loaded the pics I took at the MAGS Sunshine State Challenge yesterday in Gainesville. The model show was part of the Billet Proof 1:1 show in Gainesville. MAGS provided a bunch of snap fit Corvettes for the younger crowd to put together right then and there. I thought it was an extremely nice gesture on MAGS part, and I think the kids enjoyed putting a model togerther. Way to go MAGS! Here's the pics; http://s544.photobucket.com/albums/hh330/IMcrazyjim/Sunshine%20Challemge/
Jantrix Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Real hard to take pics with their table layout isn't it? They are real pressed for space at those car shows, and they do the best they can. Looks like it was a good show.
crazyjim Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 It was GREAT, Rob! Lots of terrific builds and I was able to meet some wonderful fellow model builders - like Fatkidd (who had several builds on display and earned a spot on my hate list because of his fantastic paint jobs). The Dodge with true flames, Chevelle station wagon, a '49 Merc (I think), a truck with a ribbon going around it, and a couple of others. Several of the dioramas caught my eye and that's why I took pics of them. I love the one with a builder at his bench and then Cadillac cooker was terrific - even had burgers & dogs on the grill with paper flames. You going to the Southlandz Moel Car Swap Meet on May 1 at the Pinellas Park Auditorium? I was going to try and make it to sell some of my resin, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen for me.
