Here is a quick project I just did for fun. I found this Jeep on ebay, needing a rebuild.

I planned to take it apart and paint it, but it was glued too well, so I got the idea to make it a muddy mess from running off-road. I put it together, added a roll bar, and gave it a coat of clear. I was thinking about what would look like mud, and came up with the genius idea to use.....real mud! I took a clod of dirt from the garden, left it dry out, then pounded it down to a fine powder. I added water, then slung the mud on it with a 4 inch paint brush from about 2 feet away. I brushed some more in the wheel wells, on the wheels and chassis, and left it all dry, then sprayed it with flat clear.

Thanks to gray07 for the windshield wipers (originals were missing). I masked off the wiper path before the mudding, then peeled off the tape while the mud was still wet.

The driver figure is one of the Ulrich mini-men. It was fun slinging mud, and not being a politician!
