Ron Hamilton Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Feel free- I'd love to see them! I'll highjack my own thread here, because there's actually another guy working on this same kit right now! That's got to be the first time since 1962 two guys have been building an AMT '62 Connie at the same time! He's using a few of the kit custom parts- http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=44357 Here's my '61 and my '67 I have another '61 to restore, probably as the other '61's alter ego, and a '63 Sedan, which will also be a replica stock build, probably in a Turquoise color combo.
Chuck Most Posted May 31, 2011 Author Posted May 31, 2011 YEAH, RON!!!! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT!!!! Both gorgeous, just absolutely gorgeous. Gives me something to shoot for when I start filling in the blanks to my '60's Connie collection! Decided to take the 'lazy route' with my console, I just nabbed one from a '97 Mustang. While I was at it I lifted both buckets from same, and added a Lincoln star from my parts box- no idea what kit it is from. (Anyone?) Inching ever closer...
Chuck Most Posted June 1, 2011 Author Posted June 1, 2011 And 'ere's the dash, needs a little fine tuning yet, but the basic jist-
Tonioseven Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 (edited) Lol!! Keep goin' Chuck! I bought a '65kit on Ebay a while back and it came with a builtup '65 as an added bonus!!! I have no plans for the builtup so let me know if you need it. Edited August 9, 2011 by Tonioseven
Dr. Cranky Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 These builds are turning out to be truly inspirational, Chuck. Love the detailing you are putting into this build.

Chuck Most Posted September 9, 2011 Author Posted September 9, 2011 Thanks, Tonio! QUESTION... I'm thinking of cutting the roof off the '62 and using it on the common-as-dirt '65 convertible body, then possibly having somebody cast it (if there aren't already ten or fifteen such bodies already available), but here's the clincher- I'm thinking of using the '65's quasi-bubbletop station wagon on the '62 body. Thoughts? Yea or nay?
badcaditude Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
badcaditude Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 If you did cut the roof off, I'm interested in taking it (the roof) off your hands.
Chuck Most Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 If you did cut the roof off, I'm interested in taking it (the roof) off your hands. That one's already been grafted to the '65 body... it's just a matter of doing the bodywork (which I hate) and getting it looking good. Might have to blow the dust off that one and get back to work on it...
