Guest roadkill2525 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 After problems with my Acura and Ford import kits Im build my 70 1/2 Camaro. I'll also will be building a 71 Duster from AMT. Still haven't settled on a color but looking at maybe a green. Had to fill in a sink mark, very little body work for a AMT kit. Here's some goodies for it. Detail Master Wired Distibutor (blue), seat belt hardware, ignition wire (assorted), and a Autometer 5in tach. I'll most likely get some Keith Marks decals because the kit has real poor decals.
Guest zebm1 Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Awhile back, I don't remember who waz looking for Sun Tachs. I just bought some old Car Modeler mags and in a 1994 issue Larry Gre said that those old Chevy Stock Class Dragsters (Old Reliable, etc.) had Sun Tachs. Just thought I'd pass this on. zeb
Guest roadkill2525 Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Ordered some more goodies. Got some Detail Master Battery Hardware and Engine Accessory Brackets for the Camaro and Duster. Also got a 5in Tach and Wired Distributor (yellow) for the Duster. Zeb, Model Car Garage has a 60's Sun tach, the Detail Master one is a Autometer Sport Comp.
Guest roadkill2525 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Sink mark filled in. Just need prep for paint and pick a color. Sorry the picture quality, using a video camera and photoshop to take pictures.
Al Rogers Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 That sink mark is a real pain, I wish they didn't even put the dome light in it. It should have been a separte part. Here's a shot of one I built about a year ago in Mulsanne Blue. Later Al
Guest roadkill2525 Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 The Camaro is back on the bench, having problems with the lowriders. I picked Rally Green for the paint and still haven't picked one for the interior, I don't really want to paint it black. I got a L88 hood from GreggLE and now im looking for the correct spoiler, it might be the one from the Baldwin-Motion version. I'll get more pictures up during the build.
Pat Cardz Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 Nice start! Looks like I'll have to watch the roof when I build mine, thx for the heads up.
Guest roadkill2525 Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 George its the one you traded with me. I've got to pick a different body color because the Rally Green dries flat and doesn't works with the clear. The interior is still something I don't know what to paint, I've gone through all my Camaro catalogs and haven't found a suitible color. The chassis is painted semi-gloss black and is textured, the bell housing and transmission are aluminium plate metalizer. This how far I've gotten. Here's a tip, get a Jeg's or Summit catalog for paint referances to aftermarket parts. I also have one for the 67-03 Camaro.
Guest roadkill2525 Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Im using the Model Master Citrus Green Metallic with the black Motion stripe on the body. One of the interior options was black with houndstooth cloth seats, does anyone make decals with that patern?
MrObsessive Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Michael, you may want to check this out for that pattern.
