Cars 2 is here soon, and wow it's a great movie. Here are some full size vehicles and posters we had two weeks ago at Downtown Disney. Also photos of the new Diecast formula "Francesco Bernoulli" one of my favorites in the new movie. I even found a new home for it in my existing Diorama...ha,ha,ha,.....Barbo

I still say they should have made the headlights the "eyes."

The way they did it is weird... the cars have two faces! I see the headlights as the eyes, the eyes in the windshield looks weird... :)

I could argue with ya but

Darn, ya got a good point there.

Just means people can't drive them.

O Wait, there aint no People in the Movie, The Cars are the people.

Or are the people the cars?

Or no People, just cars?

But who made the cars?

Where do cars come from?

Do Car haulers brings them?

Anyways, Can't wait to see it and then get the DVD.

IIRC the reasons they put the eyes in the windshield was to keep the cars from looking "snake like" and there had been some precedence with WW2 era cartoons that places the eyes there too.

:EDIT:

Here's a couple examples of what I was talking about (the first one is thanks to our own Jim Gibbons!)

Hi, Can't wait to see the Car 2 movie. It sure took them a long time to get it out. I guess when newman and carlin died they had to recast these actors. Steve

I am Pixar-head and a Disney kid. My parents didn't have any hobbies - but they did travel. Many of those travels brought us to Disney World or Disney Land - like twelve times before I enlisted in the Air Force at 19.

Back to Pixar's Cars - When the first one came out I was working second shift (3PM - 11:30PM). The first showing was at about 10:30AM. I just had to go! I was the only solo, grown-up movie-goer. There were plenty of preschoolers running around and parents giving me some rather odd looks. The movie was quite possibly the BEST movie Pixar has ever made (Toy Story 3 threatens that position). I rank it as one of the top five car movies in existence.
