Porky Posted June 3, 2011 Author Posted June 3, 2011 we r thinking about it when i get a resin casting kit.ill tell u if they look good when i get a pic.porky will u resin cast those kenworth cabovers I might cast the flat top double bunk cab, the day cab is a 20 footer. I did not do that cab I got it in a junk lot with the start on the double 27 ft box trailers. It may be that after I cast the double bunk I would make a day cab out of one of those and recast it.
Porky Posted June 3, 2011 Author Posted June 3, 2011 Eric, I like that K100 daycab. What kit did that start out as? I didn't know there was a 1/32 K100. Hey Jim Ben is stop on as alway ( Thanks for posting the info Ben ) the day cab, well both it and the flat top were made from the Aerodyne cab.

ERTL offered the only International 9670 cabover ever offered in kit form and it does feature a tilting cab with engine but the engine is not very detailed. Hey Ben Thanks for posting the info on the truck kits. Been thinking of dipping one of those IH9670's you were talking about, it is a cool kit but my luck the day before I get the molds finished they will re-issue it Maybe one of the old Ford C Cabs from an old entex kit, they are alot better detailed than any of the AMT or Monogram kits, it has a pretty nice engine in it but I think it is a gas burner, not sure though.

Yep, I have all three of those Entex, Ford C series race transporter kits. They're super nice!!!!! Real rubber tires working steering and yes, a detailed little gas engine under the cab. It's almost like they shrunk the AMT Ford C600 kit down to 1/32! The single axle pup in the Martini Porsche kit is very much like the 1/25 Trailmobile pup that AMT makes as well! The Ferrari set has a nice 40' drop belly van that would make a great bed bugger trailer! My favorite is the straight truck (ELF Racing). It features longer chassis rails like the 1/25 AMT stake truck has and the body has a working rear door, clear "glass" roof and the very front panel, over the cab folds outward to allow the cab to tilt. Microscale "O" gauge decals are a close fit for 1/32nd scale. My Ford CL9000 trailer uses there decals.

It was a well made kit.

Ben Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 What they meant to say was that the 352 was made to replace W series invented in 1908. These were built by the Unilites. They were a clan of little people and the leader's name was Peter. Hence "Peterbilt". The first trucks they built were called unconventionals that had to be flipped over to service them. Now with the new 352 you simply tilt the cab backwards to access the spark plugs!

Edsel-Dan Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 (edited) I've had a Lot of 1/32 truck kits. I traded one of those Ertl Transtar COE's. (Wish I still had it now!!) I took a box lot of parts cabs to use for many of my Fire truck builds. I probably have 15-20 of the Monogram Mack CF Pumper kit alone!!
