car lover 1996 Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Hi Over the weekend I built this amt Ford Taurus. I wanted to do something a little bit different so I put an abandoned sticker on the windshield like it was sitting on the street for a long time with no inspection. I see these cars on the side of the road all the time and that is why I wanted to do this. I also weathered it a little bit. It was an easy build and only took a few hours.
RodneyBad Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Nice looking SHO Too bad nobody wants it (impound sticker) It's not in too bad of shape, it could still be saved
Chuck Most Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Seems like a pretty well preserved first-gen Taurus to me. Wonder what's wrong with it. I wouldn't abandon one that nice!
diymirage Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 i actually the sublety of the weathering it looks dead on to me found on road dead that is
gappa508 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 (edited) i actually the sublety of the weathering it looks dead on to me found on road dead that is haha First On Race Day. I had to do it, and no i'm not trying to start a ford vs chevy battle on this thread. Great Taurus. It wasn't abandoned long... i towed it away and used it for the demolition derby Edited June 13, 2011 by gappa508
charlie8575 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Nice to see something different, and nicely done, too. Charlie Larkin
helmsman Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 I used to own one of those, exactly like that - except that mine was WAY more rusty. Good job on the Rust. I like it alot.
car lover 1996 Posted June 15, 2011 Author Posted June 15, 2011 Thanks for the good comments guys! Maybe once I build a tow truck it can be towed away and used again
shatteredsoul76 Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 I like what you did with her, its just a shame shes all SHO and no go!
