tyrone Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 hey fellas, thought I'd put a few pics up of this one, a soldier from afghanistan bought this as a fathers day gift for his dad...
Romell R Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Very nice reminds me of the 2006 mustang I built a few years ago. Keep up the good work!
whale392 Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 HooRah. Hope dad likes it; I know I would if my boy bought it for me.
Guest Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Wicked looking Mustang Tyrone! Is the chassis scratchbuilt or did you modify a kit chassis? If it's a kit chassis, which one did you use? Must've been hard to sell a model that nice.
tyrone Posted June 20, 2011 Author Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) thanks for the comments fellas, Roger the chassis is from the r/m prosprtsman kit, with some modificatio ns, engine came from the jukebox ford kit, with valve covers from the Bob Glidden engine. Edited June 20, 2011 by tyrone
W-409 Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 This one is really nice Mustang as always from your garage. Like the color of it, and paintjob is really good. Engine is really nice with all those little details... You must have many Revell Pro Sportsman car bodies and normal streetcar chassis parts in the stash? But this one looks really good, makes me to build something same way... Someday, not right now...
tyrone Posted June 20, 2011 Author Posted June 20, 2011 (edited) Thanks for the comment Niko and you're right I have alot of 55/57 bodies laying around, as well as other parts in a huge scrap box lol.. Edited June 20, 2011 by tyrone
1320wayne Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Wow Tyrone, I don't recall seeing this one before. Excellent job, as usual.
pharr7226 Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 Wow Tyrone, another killer build. I bet it feels pretty good knowing that your build found a home with someone who will appreciate it.
tyrone Posted June 22, 2011 Author Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) THANKS RICK, It does and the crazy thing about it is that I am kind of picky if you will about my builds and always trying to improve on them, this build was put up in a box the wheelie bars had broken off and I was not doing anything with it, he saw it on my photobucket and wanted it, so I cleaned, and polished it up finished adding the details to the engine and made a little money for some other projects, glad you like it..
