semijoe Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 last few weeks ive been putting together some ideas on my next build im pretty sure i have most of it figured out how to do only difference between what im going to is that will have aworking water cannon on top the cab. other then that i think i can pretty much come close to it. the truck will be full functional i have the scale at 1/11.5 rails are 843mm long this will have full detailed interior opening doors sounds lights etc i know its a little early to show you guys, because i really cant start for awhile. but i can do alittle here and there .once i get the t3000 done ,then i can go full throttle on it in the mean time , ive ordered parts for the chassis, tire, rims and axles heres a picture of the 1:1. i will paint it the same scheme
highway Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 I'm going to be watching this for sure Joe!! I've been watching the ones and love where they are going!
semijoe Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 ive started on the rails. have to say im going to be working on the rails for awhile as there a huge amount of work that needs to be done with them. i have a couple of pictures showing some of what im doing. the rails and crossmembers has a lot of parts that need to be added, before going on to the suspension the 1st picture is the front the front chassis rails get cut on a angle and the pull ring mounts from the inside of the rails the 2nd picture is of the rear chassis. same thing on the pull rings sense im going with a bigger scale, the standard rail (62mm) are to small. the chassis width is now 70mm there about 20 more screws i need to add to the rails and a couple more supports im also going to be adding cab supports and couple others before priming i dont have a mill so i have to make do with what i have far as suspension goes it wil be kool though. boy! i cant wait to get some color on this chassis but, right now im focusing on the oshhosh arff but devoting one a day or so a week on this project
semijoe Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 well the 1st set of rails are trashed. i drill them for a didnt suspension set up im looking to go more toward the 1:1 rails are cut, drilled and ready for the cab mounts 13 holes will have regular screws for go and the other 46 will be for show i ordered hex head styrene for the show bolts
semijoe Posted June 28, 2011 Author Posted June 28, 2011 i worked alittle on the body mounts for the cab and fender aera. also came up with the leaf springs
semijoe Posted June 28, 2011 Author Posted June 28, 2011 had some time today to work alittle on this the basic frame is made and 90% holes are drilled ive added the leafs too. i need to make crossmember still has the chassis is at 69mm. i need 77mm

semijoe Posted June 30, 2011 Author Posted June 30, 2011 next inline was mounting the transfer case. rc4wd makes a perfect size transfer cse for this truck. i made some spacers and installed it
semijoe Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 i made the cab mounts useing .080 styrene doesnt look strong but once you have it all together, the mounts feel really strong
semijoe Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 not much an update. but was excite about the styrene i received in. i had some hex rod come in. im useing it to look like bolts

1eng9ine1 Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 http://www.wiconiscofire.com/apparatusPage.php?1 thats the best i can do without emailing wiconisco for info looking foward to seeing this tanker built
semijoe Posted July 6, 2011 Author Posted July 6, 2011 sense the truck is going to be non military, why put military seat. i want to not newr type seats but something that i can remember from my 69 camaro the seats and interior is going to be black and orange. so i made seat today, wanted you guys imput. they do fold done. i made it out od 3x .125 styrene,.040 for the side straps and rubber legs for the seat cushion.
semijoe Posted July 7, 2011 Author Posted July 7, 2011 added the basic dash and some other stuff hoping motor comes today.
semijoe Posted August 9, 2011 Author Posted August 9, 2011 i made some lower bars for the rocker suspension. skocks , tires and rims are here . it takes 2x tires to make one (thnx stu) and 2x rims to make one. so lots of modding to do. still havent thought of which motor to put in it
RodneyBad Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 WOW!!! Everything is looking Spot On and Incredible... Do you use Actual Blue Prints or Eye balling to build?
semijoe Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 WOW!!! Everything is looking Spot On and Incredible... Do you use Actual Blue Prints or Eye balling to build? on this build i have the model and i bought a manual of ebay
