Nick Winter Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Craigslist can be a great place to get good deals, I've had good luck getting older MPC's off it ('76 Roadrunner $10, '78 Little red truck original release $20) Nick Sounds like you made out pretty good.

ra7c7er Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Craigslist is a great place to find models. Sometimes they are cheap and sometimes they are expensive. I put a ad on their (back when I first started in models) and I pretty much got the same thing a guy who had a lot of models and was willing to pass some of them on. He claimed to have a few models he was willing to sell. Since I didn't hardly have any models myself I was willing to take just about anything. I get to the guys house and he takes me to the basement. Opens a door that looks like it should lead to a closet and BAM a HUGE model room with over 500 sealed models and probably twice that in open complete kits and who knows how many boxes of partially built models. He said take your pick and walked out of the room to go back upstairs (he was watching a football game). I didn't even know where to start and wound up just picking 10 out of the first several dozen I saw. To bad I didn't have more knowledge about what I was looking at he had some really rare stuff. He came back down a little while later and talked to me for over an hour gave me a little paint and I was on my way. He told me to come back anytime and he would sell me more but I lost his number and he has never responded to any of the other CL listings I have made.
