Drake69 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Just finished this one, had a ball doing it!!!!! Diamond plate is from Plastruct, paint is Model Master De Ja Blue, and decals are from a number of kits, Car was initially a GT350H but no longer had the hood scoop, so the gold stripe decals wouldn't have worked anymore. After scrounging through my decal bin I came up with the idea of building an "oval warrior". Comments welcome!
Tony T Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Very cool, Allen! I love those kinds of builds! Where did the double redlines come from? This are awesome!!
Drake69 Posted July 19, 2011 Author Posted July 19, 2011 (edited) Thanks guys! Looks awosome! Now where's the key's! I get first dibbs!!! (as soon as I can figure out where I left them!!!) Tony, the redlines came from the Revell MotorCity 1965 Mustang 2+2 Fastback kit. I never used them in my earlier build and thought they'd look good with these wheels. Edited July 19, 2011 by Drake69
Bastardo Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Too bad the stripes are a bit off in some places. Apparts from that, she looks nice
Drake69 Posted July 23, 2011 Author Posted July 23, 2011 Thanks everyone! Too bad the stripes are a bit off in some places. Apparts from that, she looks nice Yeah, I was trying to eyeball rather than measure out what I wanted. It's mostly the bottom valences front and rear that are off, since they would not lay down very straight. Had I been more precise it would have looked much better.
John Teresi Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Allen......nice build........color is great with the red ring tires.
