What Model Year is this car?

I built this a while back, it's the Motorworks (Walmart brand Revell) kit . It was the first Pontiac I built in something like 4 years when I did it.

But, I've never been able to figure out what model year it was :oops:

Any help?

Billy, That "style" was from 1979-1981, although the engine choices differed as well as the brakes and interior accoutrement's they all basically had the same sheet-metal.

I guess my next question should be...What year did Monogram make the tooling up?

Billy, I'd say the tooling was done sometime around '77 or so. Monogram did make a '78 Trans Am (different front end), so they just modified the tooling to make the '80.

Yours looks to be the Revell '79 as the Monogram '80 had an offset hood bulge to reflect the new for '80 "Turbo Engine" (UGGGGHH!!)

Bill is that offset hood bulge anything like the one in the El Macho version of the Monogram 78 El Camino?
