MikeMc Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 I get lost on the Macs......I'm too old to learn another ......I love my Mac.....But my laptop is much quicker and newer
highway Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 WILL NOT WORK WITH IE8 Oh, it won't work with IE8, eh?!?! That's funny, I just got it to work with IE8. Yes, maybe a little differently than before, but I guess you just have to be smarter than the computer!
my66s55 Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 I don't have a Mac. Don't have Microsoft either. Don't get any virus, trojan or computer hijack either and Google isn't all over the place. Simply a fast machine running flawlessly.
Harry P. Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 while i think at this point i've got the picture posting figured out, i have to wonder why things "upgraded" many times just get more difficult and complicated. that whole MS Word method of posting pics is massively much simpler and more effective than the way i've got to do it now. i know that Harry will question why but it's pretty easy to explain IMO. before whenever i was going to do a WIP update or post some finished pics of something i'd built i'd get those images from Photobucket and put them into the Word document, all of them in one nice little bundle. then i'd go to MCM or where ever and post my update or thread with any explanation i needed or wanted and then copy and paste the cute little bundle of pics from the Word document righ into that. simple and easy You had to go get each picture individually, and copy it to Word. Then you copied and pasted that Word "bundle" here. But you still had to go and copy each photo individually into Word! So now just copy each photo individually to here and skip the Word nonsense! It's one LESS step than you used to do... so how is that harder??? Seriously... you used to copy and paste from Photobucket to Word. Then copy and paste from Word to here. Now you know that you can copy and paste from Photobucket directly to here. No intermediate Word step needed! And you say your Word method was easier??? I totally do not get your logic.
brett Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 I completely understand where you're coming from Dave, though I don't,did not and haven't done it that way. But I have lost entire (at times) long posts when after hitting the send button they mysteriously disappear into cyber f knows where. There is always issues with any website that does a major upgrade, though within a week most will have been fixed and forgotten and the site will be better than before ( Thanks Gregg ).

Now if you could just help me out with an avatar....
MikeMc Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Oh, it won't work with IE8, eh?!?! That's funny, I just got it to work with IE8. Yes, maybe a little differently than before, but I guess you just have to be smarter than the computer! It worked.......but not correctly.....upgrade to 9 and its quicker...
MikeMc Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 so far what i've found with posting pics here with text is that i have to post my pics first, then go back up to the first pic, enter key it down a line or two and then begin to type in what i want to say. frustrating? yeah, just slightly i did figure it out though, but it's "complicated", more so than i think it needs to be. Harry, i really don't expect for you to understand my logic. it's mine and we do tend to look at things quite differently or from different perspectives. so far with you that's never been a problem and most times i do enjoy seeing your side of it, even if i don't agree or have the same views. I understand Mr Z........What browser are you using......It can still be done your way....It is a way to post, if you only get so much time on said forum...Otherwise...try Harrys way..It does work
highway Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 It worked.......but not correctly.....upgrade to 9 and its quicker... No thanks, I've heard enough about IE9 to keep IE8, I like my computer to work reliably!
MikeMc Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 (edited) No thanks, I've heard enough about IE9 to keep IE8, I like my computer to work reliably! I've removed it twice....IE9 is a nitemare....
