Janne Herajärvi Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Got these finished. I did leave some emblems to do later if i find some decals for them. I liked both kits in last case, they both have potential to build great looking models, but here are pics. You make your choice whitch one is more your fafor More photos there --> http://public.fotki....2010/page2.html

outlaw035 Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 couple of really nice chevelle SS....really like the 2 tone one.....
Janne Herajärvi Posted August 1, 2011 Author Posted August 1, 2011 Thank you Neal. These are my first 2 color paintjobs what are done completely with airbrush. Only clear coat is brushed there with old fashion way brush
MrObsessive Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Beautiful job on both Janne! I especially like though the black one with dual stripes! Are these the AMT or Revell kits?
Janne Herajärvi Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 Thank you Bill. Black one with blue stripes is made from AMT kit and black&red one is made from Revell kit There you can see workbench topic of these: http://www.modelcars...showtopic=42870
bsoder Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Well I really like em both...if I had to pick i'd probably favor the red & black one, but their both great looking Chevelles
Danno Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 Both are great looking models! But, it's interesting the differences from AMT to Revell; modeling the same subject, but coming up with different treatments. Interesting. (Emoticon indicating 'Very curious!' here.)
Janne Herajärvi Posted August 14, 2011 Author Posted August 14, 2011 Thank you guys for all your kind comments
horsepower Posted August 16, 2011 Posted August 16, 2011 I have to like the Red & Black one, even though both are great builds.
High octane Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 Both of the "bowties" look great, but I would chose the black one.
Janne Herajärvi Posted August 20, 2011 Author Posted August 20, 2011 Thank you. I kinda like that black one too, its bit more original style
Terry Sumner Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Hertsi...very nice indeed. May I ask....if you airbrushed the color coats...why not airbrush the clear too? Just curious.....
jahmaljasson Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 always loved the chevelle ss, especially '67-'70.....great job...happy modeling...
Janne Herajärvi Posted August 21, 2011 Author Posted August 21, 2011 Thank you guys. Terry: using brush in painting and even for clear coating comes and happens about from my back bone, so i went this way on these. I agree it could be better to do all painting and clear coating with airbrush, but im not much good to hande it yet
