Personally, I would not go with white for the floor carpeting, either. I don't care for and don't build many models with white interiors myself, but if it's a case where I have to, I usually only paint the seats and interior panels white, things like the dash and carpeting are done in another color to go with the car I'm building.

You might want to do a picture search for the specific car you're building and see if you come across a good pic of a white interior of the car.

All white interior cars I've done and seen have black carpeting (unless it's a two-tone, then the darkest color is the carpet...). Seats are usually an off-white which looks more vinyl, sometimes the middle seat cushions are black. On a fair amount of door panels the upper armrest area is generally white, lower panels tend to be black. Silver trim run along the panels and some spot areas on the doors (like elastic and soft vinyl door pockets) and armrests are also black. A large percentage of dashboards are black BUT I have seen white dashes with black and silver trim, which looks pretty cool as well. Rear seats follow the same pattern as the fronts, but the middle section almost always matches the console, and that is usually black as well (wood grained panels and silver trim help to make it stand out more...).

Thanks guys. I am building the Revell 68 Charger, it is being built basically street stock. It is painted Testors Star Spangled Blue, so I want to go with the white interior and a white R/T stripe.

My B i l's Charger was a white hat special with white Vynil roof an interior. The dash top an package tray and carpeting were black as was the carpeting on the lower half of the door panels. The seats, console, and headliner were white as was the upper half of the door and side panels. H T H.

The only great "white" interiors I have seen are done on low-riders and then again nobody sits in those . . . for show, it's good, but not for daily driving.
