So I whipped up a remote oil filter for the Orange Crate, but I can not figure out where to run the lines. I think the engine is a 50s"olds. It was punched out to 417 ci.

I am guessing the lines would go to an adapter located where the oil filter would attach, but I can not even find that point.

Any help wold be greatly appreciated.

Once you figure that out, it would make a nice final photo...

Oldsmobile Rocket V8s had a very distinctive and peculiar oil filter location. It was a canister type, which was horizontally mounted towards the rear of the engine on the r.h. side, quasi as a mirror image of the starter motor:

This is the part you will need on a real engine to convert it to a remote oil filter:

Oldsmobile Rocket. Hardly rocket science.

I don't know here it goes.but I had a engine that didn't have a oil filter location either once.I reashed were it goes, and found out the model company never put one on it...so I built one and put it in the location it was suppose to be in....sounds like you will have to do the samething. Thanks,Chris
