I`m using word document from microsoft does anybody can guide me how to use the program for downsizing. I would love to do oil filter decals and have no idea how much I would have to crop the size. I know there are no one that does this small decals and would like to try to do it myself. So any help or info that you have that can help would be great. John Pol
Dragracer Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I've seen a few decals made for oil filters & such, on just about any drag racing decal sheet, Revells Funny Cars & Top Fuelers, on the Slixx decals, I have a bunch cut out & sitting in a little plastic bag for when I get that far on my builds, you will also find decals for the fire bottles & other stuff.
Foxer Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I use a graphics program to do this but may be able to give an idea for using Word. You first use Insert_Picture_From a File to call in an image. If you first print the image from Windows you'll get an idea how much you have to shrink it. Then Click on the image and drag from a corner, holding the <shift> key to keep the same proportions. This is a bit trial and error but shouldn't take more than one or two printings to get it right.
scalenut Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) or you can save the photo file to your desktop, open word ,, drag the photo file onto the document.(or open the photo file as described in the previous post) than right click on the photo, click on "format", click on the "size" tab...and type in the actual size you want.
