Nitrozilla Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Here's the model I finished before starting the U.S. Dart. Didn't have the good aftermarket addies, but did the best I could with what I had. Hopefully it shows what can be done with the bare minimum of onhand supplies. Thanx for looking.......
RodneyBad Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Looks Great... Engine looks Really Good.. Great job!!
SuperStockAndy Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 If you think that's bad you obviously need your eyes checked! That's much better than mine.
John Teresi Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Joe......BEAUTIFUl absolutely BEAUTIFUL.........well done !!!!!!
Nitrozilla Posted August 15, 2011 Author Posted August 15, 2011 (edited) 'Preciate it guys. It was a joy most of the time. I always say that mood and attitude show in the final measure. Sure, this kit's been done a thousand times, but I never saw one with chute pull cords and a black rollcage like the one seen here: http://public.fotki.com/TommyDz/the-chi-town-hustle-1/ Thanx for the responses !! djway3474 Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Great job and bonus point for making the stuff on your own. That is modeling at its best
Dr. Cranky Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Oh man, lots of great details on this one. Excellent.
High octane Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Great job on that Chi-Town Hustler Joe and that black roll cage is on the original car, where as the red roll cage is on the clone. And the attention to detail such as the chute pulls is spot on.
Nitrozilla Posted August 15, 2011 Author Posted August 15, 2011 Guess I had my reference pics mixed up Nick. Thought black looked coolest of the 2........ Does anybody else get twins mixed up? Just noticed the other not only has a red cage, but there's a shield plate behind it too. THAT would've looked good too. Thanx for having sharper eyes than a tri-focaled old guy....lol
W-409 Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 This one looks really good. The paintjob is great, and I like the engine detailing also. Everything looks good on this. I'm building the same kit, and must continue it really soon. It's not going to be as nice as this, but anyway.

Make the best possible model with the most skill you have, don't get lazy on details and warn people in the house before you scream at the top of your lungs.
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Man! That's sweet! That engine is beautiful.
bsoder Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Well I think you did an excellent job on it!...and I know what ya mean about using "what's on hand"
Nitrozilla Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 Thanx to all. This was a grail kit for me and got me back into the hobby after an absence. Hope y'all like the stuff to come.
