Stickit2gether Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Ok after reading here some last night Im a bit confused......after decanting do you still thin the rattle can paint before using in an airbrush?
MrObsessive Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 For me generally no. If it's thin enough to come out of the can through the spray nozzle, it's thin enough to airbrush. The only exception is if I have some left over, and it's been sitting in the jar awhile, then I'll add some thinner to it to minimize any drama.
MikeMc Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 I have thinned ModelMasters lacquers a bit....a couple of drops of thinner. As Bill said it usually sprays well without.
GeeBee Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Not usually, it's usually thin enough to spray as it is, I only add thinners if it has been sitting in a bottle for a while and the paint has thickened a bit over time.
sportandmiah Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I think most people here will tell you enamel paint when decanted will dry quicker if.you thin with lacquer thinner. I've find.this true.
