I saw the parts layout at the Milwaukee NNL this weekend last and all I can say is i am quite impressed with this kit. The extra parts alone make it worth while to purchase.

I looked over this kit at the NNL East, and I have to say, I was'nt going to get one at first, but now I have to get three, owsome looking kit, and all the optional parts are worth the price of the kit alone. nice to see all the options in the kit, thats the only real issue i've had with Revell's other hot rod kits (41 Willys, 32 Fords) is that there are no options in them. it does'nt matter to us posting here since the aftermarket has those kits well covered, but for the weekend builder it makes the kits, wel, boring.

I took a real close look at the test shot at the NNL East. Really nice for those who are not into a DIY chop job or going resin. Although there are 3 or 4 really nicely proportioned resin bodies on the market.

I have a thing for old sleds like the '49 Merc and built my first model of one in 1963, painted it bright (brush paint) yellow with all the custom pieces tossed in. I have two resin bodies that I'm in the process of cleaning up, making them easier to foil, doing test fitting, etc.

The new Revell '49 is a revelation to me and many others I'm sure. I have a couple on reserve with a local kit vendor. It looks like it has a load of good custom parts in it already and should go together nicely being a new tool and all.
