sportandmiah Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 This belonged to my grandfather. Its a small Campbell Hausfeld air compressor. It won't inflate car tires, but.probably bike tires. Curious if.anyone knows what model this might be. There are no other markings other than the make. Im thinking.it could.be usesd.for a small model airbrush compressor wih he proper attachments. The earmuffs are there so ou can see he size of the compressor. Thanks
Art Anderson Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 That looks to be a "diaphragm" type air compressor, the same type (but different appearance) that Binks, Badger, and Paasche still sell today. It works for airbrushing ,but doesn't have positive displacement (piston) that would allow it to fill a bike tire. Art
Jairus Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 (edited) Yup, low pressure and low volume and works for an airbrush. But.... GET IT OFF THE SLOT TRACK! Sheesh! Edited September 8, 2011 by Jairus
sportandmiah Posted September 9, 2011 Author Posted September 9, 2011 LOL...you would cringe if you saw the rest of the track.
sportandmiah Posted September 9, 2011 Author Posted September 9, 2011 Spent 19 bucks on a drain valve and a regulator, and wallah..a new airbrush compressor! It has a maximum of 25 psi, but has no auto shutoff. Works great!
Rick Schmidt Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I have one thats similar. Its a quiet little dude too. Never realized it was for an airbrush ..... Hmm Got the start of an airbrush setup and didn't even know it lol

Figures, I bought a Harbor Freight mini airbrush compressor a month ago...never hurts to have too many tools I suppose.
