I beleive you can use the old warm water trick to soften the resin enough to put it back into shape. However, I would also like to hear from those with resin body experience on straightening bodies, as i have a Time Machine '55 Chevy pickup cab that warped on me, as well as another resin project with a twisted frame and a spread out hood.

If it is relatively fresh it can be straightened but if the resin hascured for more than a month or so the only permanent way to straighten it is to hold it straight with the interior, chassis, windows, etc. If the resin cured fully in the warped position it will like ly want to stay that way. I have old resin hoods that cured warped and nothing but cutting them apart and regluing them together will straighten them.

And of course a lot of it has to do with how bad the warp is. I've had a few bodies with a very slight warp or twist in them- merely installing the completed interior and/or chassis introduced enough of a tension fit to hold the body straight.

I have a convertible resin body I inadvertantly sat the body funny on the chassis while the paint cured . The same thing after the clearcoat . I did not catch it until a couple of years later . Wow , what a twist . I just placed it on correctly and after a couple of years it is now straightned out . This is the only advantage of being faster at painting over building I can think of . My version of why I have a backlog , you understand . Stalled projects is closer to the truth . Thanx ..
