OK,this is a diecast (replica of my 1:1 ),but since it's a Fox4/SN95 and it's 1:24 scale,and I'm busting to show the new garage dio I scored off eVilbay,I'm showing it,teeheehee!

Olskoolrodder Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Sure,no end date, this will last until the end of time (or until the Zombi Apocolipse takes us all come December ),welcome aboard!
Chris guthro Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 i never started the kit yet but ill take pictures tomorrow after work!! im thinking bright calypso green and a few simple ''bolt ons'' haha (inseert blow off valve noise here)
polandmob Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 97 MUSTANG road racer still lookin for parts would like to get her finished
Scuderia Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I'm working on a bit of a conversion and had a question, figured this is the best place for it. 1. Does the Monogram svt convertible have a tub interior 2. If so anyone know if it will fit the AMT cobra body and chas?
whale392 Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 1) Yes, the Monogram is a tub interior with door panel inserts. 2) With some trimming and careful reshaping of the convertible boot area and the sides, it will fit. Also, the floor areas (on the underside) may require a bit of shaving to fit properly.
Scuderia Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Thanks for the info. I wanted to go that route rather than cutting bumpers on the monogram versions.
Scuderia Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I'm rejuvenating this build project with the 1994 Cobra Indy Pace. I did a nose swap onto the '95 GT Hardtop. That's in primer right now... Here's some internals.
Scuderia Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Thanks, in reference photos the blocks and heads weren't blue but I like colored blocks lol.
Olskoolrodder Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 That's all that matters,it isn't some car that's gunna sit in someone's garage collecting dust,it's your model build (besides,I likes it too )
Scuderia Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 I wonder if the Canadian Intake said 5.0 LITRE lol... little kit humor. But yeah I got some more done on the internals, and the body took a trip to the purple pond ...Also started the very basics of the GT Convertible...
Olskoolrodder Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Sorry about the body...I have a frame (non-Mustang) soaking as we speak, hate when that happens,LOL! Interior's startig to look familiar to my eye (and looking good )
Scuderia Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Thanks lol I'm trying to figure out how I want to do the Tan/Black on the GT Convert. I don't know if i want to brush the black on, but the masking would be a real bear if i elect to spray...
Scuderia Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Finally got a good weekend of serious bench-work and did some more on this one. Shot the stripped chrome tree with my aluminum spray. An got my chassis rolling. The rear end is a lil bit fiddly, but went well. Forgot to snap pics though, but all the fit is nice up front as well. I also got the convert in primer, but I'll post some on that after this is closer to done. Still unsure of interior layout for the convertible.
freakshow12 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 glad I found this build. gotta build a couple of my sn cars. this one
freakshow12 Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 and this one. have all the parts for this one just gotta get at it.lol
DailyGrindCustoms Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 My favorite era of mustangs! I'll be headed to the hobby shop this week to pick me up a car to get in on this. I cant wait.
whale392 Posted March 31, 2013 Author Posted March 31, 2013 Just picked up a few more of the re-issue 1999 Cobra and a few of the Monogram 94-95GT issues.
Scuderia Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I finished the Cobra before my hiatus, but the body really isn't anything to be excited about and It may be taken apart for the good bits. It really wasn't worth the effort, I should have just built a hardtop from the AMT kit and been happy with that.. But I'm starting a new project that should actually WORK. (I'm doing mine in white with white wheels) I'm taking the Saleen Speedster kit and putting a roof on from the Monogram GT kit. I'm not a big convertible fan, so this makes sense. Here's what's cooking so far. I also removed the engine compartment sides from the interior tub and fixed them into the body to make it easier to have them be body color during paint process.
JTalmage Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Oooh. I like this thread! I've got a black '94 GT that I'm hoping to replicate soon! Just bought a monogram '94 GT off ebay (Never seen the monogram one before!) and it was cheap, so I'll add it to my AMT '94 GT as well. Now if someone only made Bullitt wheels in deep dish and regular dish I'd be set!
