Slim Louis Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 It has been a long time since I have posted here, I went back six pages to check if I did these here before and couldn't see anything. If I am wrong I apologize. Inspired by MarkJ's Foyt Dodge, here's two more from the same stable, Paul Goldsmith's Plymouth and Bobby Isaac's Dodge. Plymouth is slightly modified Lindburg Petty Plymouth kit, and the Dodge is a Johan body made to fit on a Lindburg Chassis.
drball Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Nice builds! I got Paul Goldsmith to autograph my Lindberg release from last year and a painted shell also. He still owns and runs the local airport here in Griffith In. Ray passed away a few years ago. I got to have breakfast with him a few times at the diner across the street from the LHS. Interesting man, we always talked about lubricants since he was still blending them in his shop.
bbowser Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Great replicas. I love the '60's cars. You did a great job on these
Truck parts Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 GREAT JOB, I ALSO LIKE THE CARS FROM THE 60'S
Scalper Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Very cool old Nascar form the 60's Thanks for sharing.
MarkJ Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Great job on both, Slim. I wanted to do Foyt because when I was a kid I filled in for a friend who had a paper route and when I got the papers to deliver he was on the front page of the Houston Chronicle the day after the Firecracker 400. The picture showed him just beating out Issac at the finish line. That photo has always been in my memory banks for some unknown reason. So when I found the old Johan kit i just had to build it.
