charlie8575 Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 At last night's MassCar meeting, I was given an unbuilt 2010 Mustang GT- also known as one of the few modern cars I find attractive. The fellow who was building it had a bit of an incident with the body. Presently, I'm attempting to figure out how to fix it (major glue/paint goober, and the windows are glued in, making repainting a bit dicey.) I was wondering- if the body can't be salvaged to my liking, does anyone make, or are there plans to make, a convertible in resin? Charlie Larkin
Marc @ MPC Motorsports Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Revell is coming out with a snap kit of the 2010 Mustang convertible.
charlie8575 Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 Hmm...perhaps use that and put the goobered body on,use it to simulate an accident or something of that nature. Charlie Larkin
Chuck Most Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 About three or four years ago, Tim Boyd converted the '05-'09 style to a ragtop in the other mag, other than scratchbuilding the convertible specific inner quarter panels and scratchbuilding a top boot (neither of which were too offputting as far as effort goes) it was pretty straightforward- lop off the stock across the top of the windshield and cut the roof just above the beltline.
