Jantrix Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 (edited) I got a sorta-started-and-then-stored-for-20-years Boot Hill Express in a trade with a co-worker. Several missing pieces but it looks like the hearse parts are still there. So here's my idea - stay with the hot rod hearse show rod theme. Add a Model A roadster pick-up cab or maybe a c-cab from the Tom Daniels beer truck. Use the engine from the Express in the front, some white wall slicks from the new AMT pack. A tombstone shaped front grill. And of course the hearse section behind the cab. I'd love to hear some additional ideas from the rogues gallery here. Sort of a modeling think-tank so to speak. And no...............it's not available for trade. Edited September 26, 2011 by Jantrix
Nitrozilla Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Coincidence, a BHE took 3rd place custom at yesterday's Henderson Super Run model contest. I think a C cab is a great idea and as far as the engine set up goes, may I recommend a car I saw at the 1:1 show?

Art Anderson Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I've got a couple of Boot Hill Express kits saved here--something about a wild idea of mounting that hearse body on say, an AMT 1907 Thomas Flyer, make a believable "brass era" hearse out of it (those early motorized hearses used bodies that were taken almost directly from the plans used for horse drawn units only a few years before. Art That sounds cool Art. That would make for a particularly long vehicle too.
