crazyjim Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 Thanks, Monty. I wasn't aware of a Lindberg '67 442. I'll have to check it out. Thanks to Outlaw035, carb linkage is now easy. Pics can help but seeing a sample right in front of my face is easier for me to understand. Drill the carb(s) super glue a piece of thin wire, add a #1 crimp bead, use .020 x .060 flat Evergreen and drill 3 holes in it, round the ends, glue it (them) on, use ignition wire for the throttle cable, twist ties from bread/lettuce for the carb to carb linkage, and tiny wire from Radio Shack wrapped around a small drill bit for the return spring. It works for me.
bsoder Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 She's a beauty Jim...I haven't built the AMT kit, but here's a shot of my 442 built from the Lindy kit. I would recommend it..
crazyjim Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 That's pretty, Brian. Did you leave any red paint for the rest of us?
charlie8575 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Kind of reminds me of the factory dark bronze (Autmn Bronze, I think it was called?) As always, Jim, a nicely-executed build. Charlie Larkin
crazyjim Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 Thanks, Charlie. My 442 took 3rd place in street machine at the MAGS show in Tampa this weekend.
