Chuck Most Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Finshed up one more long-running (relatively) project today! See what you can accomplish when you handcuff yourself to the workbench and throw the key just out of reach? I knew I had to use a Twin H behind one of Jim Pelosi's Terraplane grilles, and now that the Moebius Hudson it out, I could do exactly that. I did this basically to dispose of some unused Hornet parts- the engine, headlamps/bezels, wheels, steering wheel, and trunklid 'Dirigible' emblem are from the Hornet kit. So are the taillamps, which were the backup lamps on the Hornet kit. The rest is modified Revell Deuce 5 window and spare parts. I call it the Fudson. Or the Terradeuce. Or something. This one is a bit compromised, but it was kind of built as a 'proof of concept'- I do plan to build a few more along similar lines to this, only better!
MachinistMark Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 looks very cool chuck. i think the engine is the only good looking part of the hudson! lol
John Teresi Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Chuck.......very cool man..... I alway`s luv to check out your stuff.
Dr. Cranky Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Love it, Chuck. Another stand-out ride in your collection. They are piling up. Keep taking your vitamins and keep up your nerves of steel and rusty blood running through your veins!
W-409 Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 This is great build. There are really amazing ideas of using that Hudson Terraplane grille. I like that Hudson engine too, even if I don't usually like 6 cylinder engines in Hot Rod. I like the matt green color and those Racemaster slicks are great choice. Interior is great- shifter is really radical, and I like it. I'm not sure about those wheels (or are they hubcaps?), I'd like to see it with steelies maybe. Those just don't fit to my eye when they are so shiny in Hot Rod like this. But anyway, really nice build again Chuck!
