Jantrix Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Out of curiosity what makes you ask, and no sorry, I haven't.
Greg Myers Posted October 18, 2011 Author Posted October 18, 2011 Just dug one out of the stash and thought this would make a nice quick, fun , build. But of course after looking it over, I'm thinking, I could do this, I could do that, say, what about the chrome? Most builds you see, (and rightly so since this is a funny car) have the chrome rendered in silver paint. What if I did some BMF ? Wooo Nellie. There's a bunch of chrome on the front end of that thing.
walt francis Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I hand painted all the chome on mine about over 20 yrs ago
Chuck Most Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I was going to say 'yes', but then I realized the one I foiled was the newer 1:25 'Street Burners' issue, which is based off the old Sofseal-decaled kit. That one wasn't too bad, but the grille/front bumper detail isn't quite as intricate on that one.
57peppershaker Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 (edited) I hand painted all the chome on mine about over 20 yrs ago Great collection Walt, any pics out of the wrapping ? I havent foiled one, planning to use silver / ali paint. I've got Outcast, Wildfire, Striped no name & Plum Crazy's to build. One is a 57 'Cop Out'. Edited October 20, 2011 by 57peppershaker
Dr. Cranky Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I agree. I'd like to see them wrapper-free too.
