Bowtienutz Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 found on Kim Loeb's truck page. GMC wrecker from the 60´s. Picture taken in Garfield, Colorado in 1984. What is the model name of that type of truck ? http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/kl_gmc.htm
Chuck Most Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 None that I'm aware of with the short conventional nose. Modelhaus does sell the more commonly seen medium cab conversion. http://www.discoverautomobiles.com/trucks/details.php?MID=15455 I know I remember seeing one built years ago in SAE, not sure if the guy ever had it cast or anything, though.
a/gass Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 its a 1961 model BW 9000 - never seen one in scale ?they are cool though - their was a copple in the back 40 at the junk yard i use to work at years ago they had gas v-12's in them.
Aaronw Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) Some one did one but I have no idea where it came from, wish I did, I would buy a couple. It's possible it was scratchbuilt rather than resin, not really sure. This was at NNL West a few years ago. The cab was GMC's B series, Ford had a very similar cab they called the N series. Chuck Most Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Wow! That's NOT the one I saw in SAE. Keeping my fingers crossed it's resin.
