LAone Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 im not into the flat black look, but the build came out pretty clean.
krazyglu Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Ha I was going to say that your allowed to use another color besides flat black for your finish I'm just poking I actually like the flat black on this cars wide fenders. I love this body style Subaru..I lowered one on coilovers last year and boy was the test drive fun. I think your model looks really clean and I dig that stand its on. I only suggest that you paint those bolts on top of the strut as well as the battery hold down with some testor's silver or any color you fancy. I realize on a 1:1 car they might be black and dirty ,but they definitely add to a otherwise "boring" spot on a model.
jcvt Posted October 27, 2011 Author Posted October 27, 2011 Thanks for the comments guys, yeah I don’t know for some reason I love flat black. I tried to paint it gloss black but I just couldn’t get the paint to lay right, so after about 3 times of painting and striping the body I decided to go flat black and it came out better than I had thought. I may look into touching up those bolts, sometimes I miss things like that, but I agree doing the little details really make it pop.
