New Revell AG 1:24 Austin FX4 Taxi Is Not What It Says On The Tin

I have the old Imai issue of the London taxi and also thought the model looks bigger than 1/24 scale. I found the dimensions, below, on Google. At 25.4mm/inch the wheel base in 1/24 should be 117mm, width 72.5mm and height 73.5mm. I measured my model and the wheel base is 117mm, width 75mm and height 75mm. It does then to appear to be very close to 1/24 scale.

Thanks for the definitive info ... much better than the common rumors, innuendoes, and 'eyeball' assessments.

I'll probably still buy both ~ just because of the uniqueness of the subjects. If I don't get them now, by the time I decide I should have, they'll be outrageously expensive unobtainium!

My feelings exactly, Danno. Believe it or not, my across the street neighbor just bought one of these things. It's actually called an Austin. At least that's what it says on the trunklid. His is a 66, but it looks JUST like the one in the picture! It even has right hand steering.
