Looking for aftermarket wheels and tires.

I'm considering buying the RoG 1/16 52 VW. I would like to possibly customize it if I do. Anyone know where to find some Porsche or Minilite wheels and also some tires?

simple, go to your local die-cast store and fetch a set of 1/18 wheels. They are close enough and online; the possibilities are even bigger. You just need to take some time and effort to google it.

Thanks, didn't consider diecast wheels and tires. You're right, you wouldn't be able to tell much difference.

Actually, you probably will be able to tell the difference IMO. Unless you modify them or use 18" wheels in 1/18 scale to equal 16" wheels in 1/16 scale, they will look too small.

Which particular Porsche wheel are you looking for? And what size/diameter/profile tires?

Depends what kind of look you want.

If you get early Porsche Fuchs wheels in a small 1/18 diameter, they will look large diameter on a beetle and give it the californian-idea.

I like the Cal look especially on an early splitwindow. I like the narrow look with Empi style wheels and also the 15"-16" Fuchs style Porsche wheel.
