jay8allday Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 just started had to stop for now because i dont have anymore paint, have to get some styrene to fix the gap between the hood scoop and the hood
W-409 Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Great looking build, pictures aren't perfect, but from what I can see, it looks good. I believe, you're missing one part from that scoop, because I had no problems with it, and if I remembert correctly, it was built from many pieces. So check that again from the instructions?
Dr. Cranky Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Nice going. I've been wanting to build this kit. Keep it going.
brett Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 yep , its a little horse shoe shaped piece with a step on it. Pics aren't the greatest but it looks like it will be a nice looking build when you're done

Dr. Cranky Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 That chassis front end and engine details look great.
jay8allday Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 That chassis front end and engine details look great. thanks i dont know if i can finish because the spring wont reach the upper truss
eviltwincustoms Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I can't really tell from you picture, but it looks like the mounting point is bent out of it's intended position. If you can verify if this is the issue, maybe you can warm it and tweak it back down. One other thing to check is, are both front struts the same length? and is your front chassis on the drivers side in the right position and not to far in towards the engine block? These things can help you get that extra length you need to mount, as the strut should just pop into place and be held by the top mount and the bottom a-arm spring tension.
brett Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 it kinda looks like the front bar is on the wrong side of the chassis rail and it should be leaning over more at the top outside edge, best shots I have I think
