Great looking build, pictures aren't perfect, but from what I can see, it looks good. I believe, you're missing one part from that scoop, because I had no problems with it, and if I remembert correctly, it was built from many pieces. So check that again from the instructions? ;)

yep , its a little horse shoe shaped piece with a step on it. Pics aren't the greatest but it looks like it will be a nice looking build when you're done

NP... who would have thought we would be using gadgets other than Camera's these days to take pictures? Not I for one!.... Great Start, and the 55 is one of my favorites of that Tri5 era.... Keep us posted on progress.

That chassis front end and engine details look great.

I can't really tell from you picture, but it looks like the mounting point is bent out of it's intended position. If you can verify if this is the issue, maybe you can warm it and tweak it back down.

One other thing to check is, are both front struts the same length? and is your front chassis on the drivers side in the right position and not to far in towards the engine block? These things can help you get that extra length you need to mount, as the strut should just pop into place and be held by the top mount and the bottom a-arm spring tension.

it kinda looks like the front bar is on the wrong side of the chassis rail and it should be leaning over more at the top outside edge,

best shots I have I think
