Customizer
I was recovering from surgery over the summer and to keep my sanity I decided to dig into this one. What a great kit! Practically built itself. Painted with Tamiya and masked the camo with sillyputty.
Chillyb1
That's very neat. How difficult was it to paint the figures? I've bought several Tamiya military kits and they really are beautifully engineered and molded.
Harry P.
Very nicely done! The figures are also very well done, especially the faces. If it was mine, I'd add a scratchbuilt "canvas" cover over the bed.

Agent G
Oh yeah that's what I'm talking about. Nicely done. What was Silly Putty like to work with? Did it come off easily after painting? Did youhave to touch up a lot? Sorry for all the questions. I have one nearing the painting stage, and I think this might be a method I can use for the camo. Customizer
Curtis - The figures were awesome. They were clean and the details were sharp, all I did was a base coat, a couple of washes and some details. Wayne - Working with sillyputty is great. Rip off a piece, roll it on your table till it looks like spaghetti, and lay it on the model. If you want, use a spoon or something and squash it into whatever shape you want. It comes off easy, leaves no residue and if you use acrylic paint it's reusable. Here's another I used it on. Did the brown first, masked it, did the green, then when I masked it I squashed the first masking putty over on the edges and sprayed the yellow. Probably not realistic but interesting. Agent G
Ron that StuG looks great too. WWII German armor offers so many variables that nearly anything is "accurate". Thanks for the advice, I will use this on my next one for sure now. G
