Dr. Cranky Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Looking good. I love this kit, which is why I'm in the process of building not one, or two, or three, but FOUR of them in a row!
atenzapower Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 Qustion who do it mouth this part on the engine, whitch parts are needed? is this the right way to do it?
horsepower Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 (edited) Qustion who do it mouth this part on the engine, whitch parts are needed? is this the right way to do it? No, the three hole white part in your first picture replaces part 60 (they are both intake manifolds, part 60 is for the carburated version, the other part is for the EFI version, on the real engine, this is cast in aluminum. & is the lower half of the intake, the upper half being the other part in you first picture). I hope this helps, & doesn't confuse you too much. Edited November 22, 2011 by horsepower
atenzapower Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 I was not happy about it so i ll start over agian
Rob McKee Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Nice work. I agree this is one of my favorite kits of all time. I have built so many of these I can't keep track of how many.
Casey Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 It might be easier to paint the entire body first then go back and hand paint (with a wide brush) the roof insert area. If I remember correctly, that area is canvas or another type of fabric on the real '32 Fords, so you could even use a flat white if you want that area white. You shouldn't get any brush marks if you use a wide brush, have the paint thinned correctly, and apply the paint quickly. It's a difficult are to mask and spray, while still maintaining a sharp edge between the two colors, but if you use a water-based paint you can wipe off anything you don't like as it's being applied.
Dr. Cranky Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Wow, so you are changing color, hope to see the next color shortly.
