James Tester Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Here are a few pictures of my work in process Porsche. I bought the Scale Motorsport CF templates and photoetched pieces for this build. I have most of the CF work done now and will be putting the future clear coat on it soon and then polishing it with "the detailer" model wax. Comments are always welcome. James Tester Here is everything I have done so far: The body is painted with Cobra Colors Seal Grey metallic basecoat with a PPG Urathane clear coat. I'll let the pictures do the talking...
crispy Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Absolutely gorgeous! The Porsche Carrera GT is at the top of my list for a favorite exotic sports car. It's just plain sexy. Your CF work is fantastic, because of that you'll just sold me on the template. Look forward to it being finished. Chris
mikelo Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Aaaahhh, this is the Porsche in that color. Looks great! Great job on the CF. Man, I would hate to try to put those on without some sort of a template. Any progress yet?
Jason Rothgeb Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 It's looking good James. It's good to see a post from you, I can't remember seeing one from you in a while. One question: is what your using a CF set speciffically for Tamiya's Carerra GT kit? I'm glad I saw your build-up before I got around to building mine. I had no idea that car had that much CF even after looking at Photo refeence in the Enthusiast magazines.
David Thibodeau Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Very clean work James and the paint looks sweet... DaveT
