tim08 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 (edited) Her's my Viper. Citadel Bolt Gun, Polly Scale Reefer White stripes. Future gloss. Front end and hood are a lousy fit. Not a great kit. Edited December 10, 2011 by Tim08
tim08 Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 (edited) Two more. The final build pics are in the Back on the bench thread. Edited December 10, 2011 by Tim08
Dr. Cranky Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Looks like a clean, well done build. Excellent color too. It makes the model stand out.
wraith Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Very nice looking Viper! I have been meaning to add this one to my Mopar collection for years. Seems like everyone who builds this kit has the same poor fitment issues with the front. But somehow I still want it more than the AMT version. I built the AMT version when I was a kid and for some reason I wasn't impressed with it.
tim08 Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 My photobucket account is gone! It was fine earlier
SuperStockAndy Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I wondered why the pictures weren't showing O_o
tim08 Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 Ok I got them back, don't know what happened!
krazyglu Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Alright I was hoping they would come back so I could see them. Good looking kit you built, I like the color. I think it needs to sit a tad lower, but with fit issues its nice to just get it completed and on the shelf. Your about a hour north of me so your pretty local
Dave42 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Turned out real nice Tim. I too like the color combo, and it looks good and straight. Can't tell that you had fit issues by looking at it. Nice work, and glad to see you over here too. Dave
tim08 Posted December 11, 2011 Author Posted December 11, 2011 (edited) Thanx guys. Yea Steve, I live not too far away from you. Hey Dave! Nice to hear from you! I haven't been over at the other site for awhile. Got a better pc and lost all of my passwords. Last time I was there you just had a model put in a mag. Congrats! I need to find my pw and check back in. Lots of folks in our vicinity on here, good to see so many in our neck of the woods. Hope you've posted your builds, It'll be nice to see them. Allot of talented builders on this site. Edited December 11, 2011 by Tim08
Danno Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Nice. Your build is very credible given all the issues. I'm just wrapping up a build of the Guldstrand Grand Sport 90 ... has similar front end/rear body panel breaks ... and has similar fitment issues! Obviously it must be difficult to get the body parts molds to interact correctly. My Guldstrand required some added plastic, shaved areas, added guide tabs, and filler ... plus lots and lots of fitting and re-fitting. More than I expected for what I thought would be a quick build!
Haubenschild Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 That looks spectacular! , i love the paint
