dabelltoller Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 hey on the mobious lonestar if i was to make a day cab where would i go about cutting the frame to shorten it ? as for lengh of it im not sure myself but your typical daycab would be my guess. shorter for being a day cab but for tight turns and hard backs thanks for help
scale trucker Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 gary you can get a super nice day cab from cargo star andthe cut is big to shorten it up .about the lenght of sleeper..where to cut i think best is use the chrome fairing and cut out what is where the bunk goes..
cowboysevens Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Yeah dave aka cargostar does make a nice day cab, I would mock up the cab on the frame first then look at your choices on the best place to make the cut in regaurds to the cross members and outer fairing kit etc etc. Please keep us posted on this build
BigBad Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Just buy the daycab off Dave, It's really not expensive and it's going to save you a LOT of work. His cab has the roof detail and rear panel detail that is actually pretty intricate . I have one of his daycabs, it's nice. Give him a nudge.
cargostar Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Drop me a pm, and I can fill you in on the details.

Chuck Most Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 Dave- I promise I'll buy a Lonestar daycab... when the D-series pickup and Travelall are ready!
