Model Cars Magazine Forum

Hi guys, I am new to this forum. I have been building model cars for about 18 months. I usually build fast street/track cars, usually from the 70s to modern day cars. I am an Aussie, so I have built Euro cars, Japanese cars and American cars. This is my first Hot Rod. It is Revell's 1931 Ford Sedan 2 in 1 kit. I have ditched the 4 cylinder engine and have installed a RB26.

Enough talk, some pictures.

All this stuff was done over the last 2 months or so.

I love it! Not a hot rod guy myself, but I like the fact you threw the Nissan engine in their. Look forward to you completing it! Very out of the box thinking!

Very nice for your first hot rod! Excellent weathering on the body and great frame work. The Nissan engine is very unique. Can't say you'd ever see that here in the U.S. (too many "Traditionalist"!) but it makes quite a statement in your build!

Outstanding for your beginning of the hobby. Outstanding if you had been it for many years. You should check the membership list. We have several members from OZ.

Wow- I love the 'dare to be different' powerplant, and the finish fooled me into thinking you hammered and soldered the body together. Wow!

Thanks for the comments! I have slowed down a bit recently, although the engine has been wired and plumbed, update to come when I have something worth showing!

Engine is (mostly) plumbed and installed, it needs a little bit of touching up here and there. Suspension has been mounted too.

This thing is sick! 8) I like the RB26 engine and the exhaust/turbo setup! It certainly takes a new pace from the other hot rods!
