BigBad Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 (edited) Alright guys, these are some pictures from a kit I have gotten a while ago from AITM. It's a Detroit Diesel 12V71 twin turbo. I think it looks promissing and I think it's going to look mean under the hood of my Revell W900! No, it's not built yet, it's still in pieces. Here goes: Not many parts, but I think the results are going to be greater than the sum of it's parts, besides, I like this better than cutting up two 8V71's or kit bashing the old Bandag drag Kenworth kits: And another angle: Uploaded with ImageShack.us I'm not when I'm going to start on this one just yet, but I wanted others to have a look at this kit to have a an idea what to expect. These kits do not include a transmission so think of that when ordering these kits. cam Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 I have one of these from before Dave took over, and I can say he's cleaned the molds up very well. the engine I have has a 3/32 sag in the left cylinder bank.
